as with anything this popular, the early bird catches the worm...
if your not on Twitter and using religiously, you need to get on asap and start using...start contributing in a positive light before your competitors do.

Trinity Garage Doors & Openers is an Atlanta-based service, repair and installation business and we use twitter to post links to interesting articles about garage doors and garage door technology. We also like to tweet when we post new blogs to our garage door blog on wordpress. We do realize that although it may seem like a great marketing tool to us, it may be a nuisance to individuals who do not appreciate companies using twitter to annoy them with advertising, so while we do follow many news organizations, home improvement-related tweets, and companies, we do not follow personal individuals unless they follow us first.

I am sadden to see that companies still exploit networking tool to make their business. Myspace did that with music we all know how it ended...

The more companies join Twitter and the like the biggest chance there is for everyone to start using something else.

And to be fair, Twitter make a business look very cheap imo...
